Responsible gaming
Every tool on your account, exactly how each one works, and where to get free, confidential help in Ontario.
Effective date: March 24, 2026. Last updated: March 24, 2026. Applies to players in Ontario, Canada.
Our commitment
Gambling should stay entertainment. Panda Casino is operated by TigerGen Limited under the AGCO's Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming, which set out what an Ontario operator must do to protect players. Everything on this page is free, available from My Account, and takes effect without you having to justify it to anyone.
- We never extend credit and never lend you money to play.
- We never send marketing to a player who is self-excluded, in a cooling-off period, or who has not given express consent.
- We never encourage you to raise a limit, cancel a limit, reverse a withdrawal or return from a break.
- Our support team is trained to recognise markers of harm and to talk about them without judgement.
- Player funds are held separately from our operating funds.

Staying in control
Decide in advance how much time and money you are willing to spend, and stick to it.
- Only play with money you can afford to lose — never money set aside for rent, bills, food or debt.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and set them on your account so they hold you to it.
- Do not chase losses. Every spin and every hand is independent; past results do not change what happens next.
- Do not play when you are upset, stressed, lonely, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Take regular breaks and keep other things in your week that have nothing to do with gambling.
- Treat any win as a bonus, not as income, and never as a way to solve a money problem.
- Do not borrow money to gamble, and do not gamble to pay off a debt.
Deposit limits
A deposit limit caps how much money you can move into your account in a given period. It is the single most effective control, which is why Ontario requires us to ask you to set one before your account opens.
- Periods: per day, per week (rolling 7 days) or per month (rolling 30 days). You may hold one limit of each period at the same time; the tightest one applies.
- Range: from $10 up to $100,000. There is no minimum you must accept — set it as low as you like.
- It applies across every payment method, so you cannot get around it by switching card, wallet or Interac.
- Lowering a limit takes effect immediately.
- Raising a limit takes 24 hours and must then be confirmed a second time. If you do not confirm it, the increase lapses and your old limit stays. We will never remind you to confirm it.
- Removing a limit entirely follows the same 24-hour rule and a second confirmation.
- A deposit that would breach the limit is declined at the point of payment, and we tell you when the limit resets.
- Your current limit, how much of it is used and when it resets are shown in My Account → Play limits.
Loss limits
A loss limit caps your net loss — total stakes minus total returns — over a period. It bites where a deposit limit does not: it stops you recycling winnings into ever-larger losses.
- Periods: per day, per week or per month.
- When the limit is reached, wagering stops for the rest of the period. You can still log in, view your history and withdraw.
- Winnings that arrive after the limit is reached do not release more play in that period.
- Decreases apply immediately. Increases take 24 hours and a second confirmation, exactly like deposit limits.
- Bonus funds count towards the loss calculation at the value they were credited at.
Time limits
A time limit caps how long you can play. It is useful if money is not the problem but the hours are.
- Session limit: ends a single session automatically after a length you choose, from 15 minutes to 4 hours.
- Daily, weekly and monthly limits: cap total play time across sessions in that period.
- You get a warning 5 minutes before a session limit ends so you can finish the round you are in.
- When the limit is reached you are logged out and cannot log back in to play until the period resets.
- Decreases apply immediately; increases take 24 hours and a second confirmation.
Reality checks
A reality check is an on-screen interruption that tells you what is actually happening, rather than what it feels like is happening.
- Intervals: every 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes of active play. Reality checks are on by default at 60 minutes for every new account.
- The pop-up pauses the game and shows: elapsed session time, total staked, total won, and your net position for the session.
- You must actively choose to continue or to end the session — it does not dismiss itself, and there is no way to disable it for the current session.
- Every reality check offers a one-click route to your limits and to self-exclusion.
- You can shorten the interval at any time with immediate effect. Lengthening it, or switching reality checks off, takes 24 hours.
Cooling-off periods
A cooling-off period — sometimes called a time-out — is a short, self-imposed break. It is the right tool when you want to step away for a while but do not need the full weight of self-exclusion.
- Periods: 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 weeks.
- Effective immediately and cannot be cancelled or shortened once it starts.
- During the break you cannot deposit, wager, or claim a bonus, and all marketing to you stops.
- You can still log in to check your history, contact support, and withdraw your balance — your money is never locked away from you.
- An active bonus is paused, not lost: the wagering clock stops and resumes when the break ends.
- Access is restored automatically at the end of the period. We will not email, text or call you to bring you back.
- Cooling off applies to Panda Casino only. To cover every Ontario operator at once, use BetGuard.
Which tool do I need?
A limit if you want to keep playing within a boundary. A cooling-off period if you want a short break from this site. BetGuard self-exclusion if you want to stop gambling online in Ontario altogether.
Self-exclusion & BetGuard
BetGuard is Ontario's centralized self-exclusion program. One registration excludes you from every operator in the province's regulated internet gaming market — not just from Panda Casino.
- Periods: 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or permanent.
- How to register: from My Account → Play limits → Self-exclude, or directly at betguard.ca, or with help from our support team.
- When it starts: immediately on registration, as required by AGCO Standard 2.3.
- Your balance: your withdrawable cash balance is returned to a verified payment method. Bonus funds, free spins and Momentum points are forfeited.
- It cannot be shortened or cancelled. A permanent exclusion cannot be reversed.
- Coming back: a fixed period does not lift by itself. You must apply, and there is a mandatory 24-hour wait before access is restored.
The full procedure — activation, what happens to your account, and how the return process works — is on the Self-Exclusion & BetGuard page.
How we protect you
- Age assurance. Every visitor confirms they are 19+ before entering the site, and every account is age-verified against independent sources before play.
- No credit. You can only play with cleared funds. We do not lend, and we do not accept credit-based deposits from a third party.
- Markers of harm. We monitor patterns that research links to harm — sharply rising deposits, repeated limit-increase attempts, long overnight sessions, chasing after losses, and cancelling withdrawals to keep playing. Where we see them we contact you, and we may apply a limit or restrict bonuses and marketing.
- Withdrawal reversal. Repeatedly cancelling a withdrawal to keep playing is treated as a risk indicator; we may disable reversals on your account.
- Advertising standards. Our marketing is never directed at under-19s or at excluded players, never suggests gambling is a solution to financial problems, never portrays it as a way to gain status or success, and always carries the 19+ and ConnexOntario messages.
- Trained staff. Everyone in player-facing roles completes responsible-gambling training before they start and refreshes it annually.
- Independent accreditation. Our responsible-gambling program is reviewed against the RG Check standard.
Self-assessment
The questions below are the Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI), a screening tool used across Canada. Answer honestly about the last 12 months. It takes about two minutes, it is not a diagnosis, and nothing you enter is sent anywhere or stored — the scoring runs entirely in your browser.
If this raised anything for you, call ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600 — free, confidential, 24/7 — or set a limit or a break from My Account.
Warning signs
Gambling may be becoming a problem if you recognise any of these:
- Spending more time or money than you intended, or more than you can afford;
- Chasing losses, or increasing your stakes to win back what you have lost;
- Gambling to escape stress, boredom, low mood, grief or loneliness;
- Borrowing money, selling things, or using money meant for bills in order to gamble;
- Hiding your gambling, or lying about how much you play or lose;
- Feeling anxious, guilty, restless or irritable when you are not playing;
- Arguments with people close to you about money or about gambling;
- Missing work, study, sleep or commitments because of gambling;
- Trying to cut down or stop and finding you cannot.
Recognising one of these does not mean you have a gambling problem — but it is a good moment to set a limit, take a break, or talk to someone.
Protecting under-19s
You must be 19 or older to play. Underage gambling is an offence and we take it seriously: every visitor confirms their age before entering, every account is age-verified, and any account we find belongs to a minor is closed immediately with the play voided and the deposit returned.
- Never let anyone under 19 use your account, and never play in front of a child in a way that presents gambling as a way to make money.
- Do not save your password in a shared browser, and log out on shared devices.
- Keep your payment cards and banking details out of reach.
- Consider filtering software if young people use your devices — for example Net Nanny, Qustodio, or the parental controls built into your operating system.
If you believe someone under 19 is using our site, contact us immediately through Contact Us.
